چکیده

This article represents an open repository of human enamel data collected/reconstructed from seven populations covering a 2000 year time period in Britain via five temporally distinct periods. In total was collected 285 permanent teeth, including maxillary and mandibular first molars, canines incisors. Data gathered through thin histological methods using standard procedures for sectioning dental material. regards to growth, is daily secretion rates (DSRs) the inner, mid, outer areas lateral cuspal enamel. For thickness average (AET) relative (RET) thickness, linear (CT), (LT) collected. Alongside presented this also provides clear transparent explanations all involved its production, order ensure understanding rigorous protocol consistency associated with provided. The novel contextualised compilation equivalent published past articles.

Trends in recent temperature and radial tree growth spanning 2000 years across northwest Eurasia.

This paper describes variability in trends of annual tree growth at several locations in the high latitudes of Eurasia, providing a wide regional comparison over a 2000-year period. The study focuses on the nature of local and widespread tree-growth responses to recent warming seen in instrumental observations, available in northern regions for periods ranging from decades to a century. Instrum...

Detection of human adaptation during the past 2000 years.

Detection of recent natural selection is a challenging problem in population genetics. Here we introduce the singleton density score (SDS), a method to infer very recent changes in allele frequencies from contemporary genome sequences. Applied to data from the UK10K Project, SDS reflects allele frequency changes in the ancestors of modern Britons during the past ~2000 to 3000 years. We see stro...

Phylogeography's past, present, and future: 10 years after Avise, 2000.

Approximately 20 years ago, Avise and colleagues proposed the integration of phylogenetics and population genetics for investigating the connection between micro- and macroevolutionary phenomena. The new field was termed phylogeography. Since the naming of the field, the statistical rigor of phylogeography has increased, in large part due to concurrent advances in coalescent theory which enable...

Reconstructing Past Populations With Uncertainty From Fragmentary Data

Current methods for reconstructing human populations of the past by age and sex are deterministic or do not formally account for measurement error. We propose a method for simultaneously estimating age-specific population counts, fertility rates, mortality rates, and net international migration flows from fragmentary data that incorporates measurement error. Inference is based on joint posterio...
